Virtualisation Platform Monday 5th November 2018 21:30:00

A fault was discovered overnight on our virtualisation platform that affected the writing of data. The issue started around 21:30 and was flagged by our monitoring system at 00:00. Our engineers worked on the issue and was able to restore some services by 03:00, with a complete restoration of all services by 04:00.

During this time there were a small number of services that were affected including mail services and SurfProtect for some customers.

Our engineers have now also amended certain procedures to enable the detection and prevention further occurrences of this type of fault.
